Abid Omar is the founder of the Pakistan Air Quality Initiative (پاکی), a community-driven effort to monitor and share real-time air quality data across Pakistan. His work focuses on raising public awareness of environmental health challenges and empowering citizens with accessible information. Through PAQI, he has built a network of contributors and researchers committed to tracking pollution and advocating for cleaner air. Abid holds a degree from Universiteit Gent and brings an international perspective to Pakistan’s environmental discourse. His mission centers on combining data, technology, and community engagement to push for sustainable policy change.
