Amna Khan

Researcher, Policy Analyst

Amina Khan is the Director of the Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East & Africa (CAMEA) at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad (ISSI), where she leads research and advocacy on regional security and policy. With over 15 years of expertise on Afghanistan, she has authored numerous publications and presented at leading national and international forums. She has edited three books, including The Covid Challenge and its Impact on the Middle East and Africa (2021), The Evolving Situation in Afghanistan: International and Regional Perspectives (2022), and Pakistan’s Strategic Frontiers (2023). A recipient of the Chevening Scholarship, she holds master’s degrees from Royal Holloway, University of London, and Quaid-e-Azam University, and is currently pursuing her PhD. She has also been a Visiting Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP).
