Dr. Faisal Bari is an economist and academic with extensive experience in education, social protection, and economic development. He is an Associate Professor of Economics at LUMS and has served as Dean of its School of Education (2020–2023). A Rhodes Scholar, he holds a doctorate from McGill University and has held leadership positions at the Institute of Development and Economic Alternatives (IDEAS) and the Mahbub ul Haq Human Development Centre. His work spans research, policy, and teaching, and he is a regular columnist for Dawn.
