Hoori Noorani is a Pakistani classical dancer, translator, and publisher, and the owner of Maktab-e-Danyal, a renowned publishing house in Pakistan. Trained in classical dance from a young age, she has performed with prominent theatre groups and continues to engage with Pakistan’s performing arts community. Noorani has translated Russian and French literature into Urdu and oversees publications of modern English and Pakistani works. Under her leadership, Maktab-e-Danyal has gained international recognition, including being shortlisted for the Prix Voltaire by the International Publishers Association, and continues to champion literary and cultural expression in Pakistan.
