Kate Vyborny is an Economist at the World Bank’s South Asia Region Gender Innovation Lab, where she leads research on gender, development, and inclusive growth. Previously, she served as Associate Director of the DevLab at Duke University and as a Research Scientist in Duke’s Department of Economics. She holds a D.Phil. (Ph.D.) in Economics from the University of Oxford. Earlier in her career, Kate worked on aid, trade, and development policy at the Center for Global Development and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. In Pakistan, she has contributed as visiting faculty at the Lahore School of Economics and LUMS, and as a Fellow at the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan and the Consortium for Development Policy Research.
