Tom Mutch is a New Zealand-born, Ukraine-based freelance journalist and author with a focus on crime, conflict, and international affairs. He has contributed to publications including The Daily Beast, The Times, Popular Mechanics, and New Lines Magazine, and is the author of The Dogs of Mariupol. Tom previously worked as a parliamentary researcher in the U.K. and is currently a scholar in Columbia University’s MA Journalism/Politics program.
